5 Questions for Anthony Wideman

Who is Anthony Wideman? In a word Anthony Wideman is "humble". I mean after serving in the Army and being able to see the world and to experience different cultures while meeting different people is a humbling life experience. For that I'm grateful and I try to instill a certain level of humbleness in every business & personal relationship.

What inspired you to be in the film industry? My film inspiration actually began when I was about 6 years old. I would watch everything on tv back then, getting in the mirror imitating what I saw on TV. I really picked up writing as a way to deal with dysfunctional household. Writing really was my therapy but after seeing Prince's "Purple Rain", I knew I had to someday tell my Life story in the form of a movie.

How did ya'll come up with the concept of the movie Child Support? The movie "Child $upport" came from my real life experience that I found myself in. Yeah I was locked up for 14 months for "contempt of court" over a situation that has torn several fathers and children apart. While in the county jail I wrote this script to help myself but also let someone know how to maybe avoid the same situation. I get heavily into the details of the situation in my book "Too Strong For Suicide".

What advice would you give young entrepreneurs? The best advice I can give young entrepreneurs is to make sure your "word" is bond. In business you have the ability to take classes and learn what it takes to start & build a business but the most important tool is your word. I haven't always been on point with this particular sentiment but I've tried to hold my word as best as possible. Sometimes things arise that you can't control which makes it impossible to keep your word, but with all of the forms of communication we have now an Excuse is unacceptable.

We see you are taking the role as an author, tell us about your upcoming book? Probably my greatest writing accomplishment is my first book "Too Strong For Suicide"... Sins of A Grown Man. It's my Life story from the mud to the Red Carpet so to speak. This book will give everyone an insight into my life, from my childhood, military experience, all of my relationships especially the bad ones and my hustling days while trying to secure a record deal in the music industry. I realize I'm not Famous or anything but like anyone else I do have a Story to tell. I'm looking forward to it's release in late March. It would be great if I could get make the "Best Sellers" list.
