The Art of Business: The Inspiring Journey of Filmmaker and Entrepreneur Acy Brown

Acy Brown is the CEO and founder of Acy Brown LLC, Acy Publishing LLC, and Acy Brown Media Group, as well as the CEO and founder of the DonteAndrewAnnie Foundation Incorporated non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity. He is also a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild). His journey into filmmaking began when he partnered with his business manager, Anthony Little, to share their story of business success despite living almost 1000 miles apart. Inspired by his desire to tell his story and showcase his family, particularly his father, mother, and aunt, whom he has cared for over the past 14 years, Acy embarked on this filmmaking venture.

Reflecting on his journey, Acy explains that he was drawn to filmmaking to express his personal experiences and challenges creatively. His career started about 20 years ago with professional modeling and acting in national print ad campaigns, industrials, and TV commercials for various companies.

Looking back, Acy wishes he had understood the importance of securing a business manager early on to establish his brand effectively. He emphasizes the value of continuous learning and improvement for success.

The primary challenge Acy faces in bringing his creative vision to life is securing funding for projects. Without adequate funding, both production and marketing efforts can be hindered, impacting the success of the film.

For aspiring filmmakers, Acy advises taking the craft seriously, focusing on quality production, and creating relatable content. Being organized and detailed in preproduction can lead to smoother production processes and cost savings.

A sneak peek into Acy's new film, "The Art of Business: The Best of Both Worlds," reveals a documentary co-created with Anthony Little. It follows the journeys of two African-American businessmen overcoming setbacks and tragedies to build successful businesses. The documentary portrays Acy as a man of faith, family, business, and community activism, aiming for a timeless impact.

In future projects, Acy expresses interest in exploring animation and further developing his superhero character.
